DW Bistro

With a blend of Southwest, Jamaican, and Latin-inspired cuisine, DW Bistro has one of the busiest brunches in the southwest valley. Favorites include jerk chicken and waffles (with just the right amount of spiciness) and a pesto torte made with goat cheese and macadamia nuts. Save room for the white chocolate scones in the pastry basket. For drinks, the DW Bloody Mary packs an extra kick with jalapeño bacon. The restaurant makes the most of its location at the Gramercy with overflow seating in the courtyard when the weather allows it.
How to order: Walk-ins may encounter a wait, so online reservations are suggested.
DW Bistro specializes in a combination of Southwest and Jamaician flavors, and the DW Bistro NM Chile Burger is clearly inspired by New Mexico's hatch chile season. The beef patty is an intense combination of jack cheese, green hatch chiles, lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, chipotle mayo, and jalapeno bacon (which is also great on its own). Order one with a side of sweet potato fries.
DW’s hidden space in the Gramercy is tucked away in the courtyard, which makes the al fresco dining experience that much more enjoyable. The menu features a mix of Southwestern and Jamaican flavors that are inspired by chef Dalton Wilson’s roots, like Jerk Chicken and Waffles with lemon syrup and a New Mexico Green Chile Mac and Cheese. DW Bistro gets packed on the weekends for brunch, but dinner and their recently introduced weekday breakfast are also worthy of a trip. So too are the cocktails like the DW Bloody Mary. The layered carrot cake that’s crafted in-house is big enough to serve two to three people.
