And just like that, the weekend is here. There are two events happening this weekend that will make your tastebuds sing: Steamhouse Lounge’s OysterFest and Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ. ATL United will also kick off the season this Saturday, so you know the entire city will be posted up at sports bars and filled with excitement as the home team sets out to bring another championship to the 404. Attending all of the festivals, concerts, and fun events is the perfect way to close out the month, so here’s our list of the best things to do in Atlanta this weekend to end February with a bang.
Thursday, February 23
Buckhead
Greg Mike’s ABV Gallery Drink and Doodle Vol. 107 will be held at SweetWater Brewery’s Reel Room with 40 artists creating work live and in person. With sounds provided by Ty Abbott, you can sip on limited edition brews, purchase merchandise designed by Nick Turbo Benson, and have an old-fashioned good time with some of the most innovative creators in the south. This ticketed event will also feature art available for purchase through an 24-hour online silent auction.

Buckhead
Hosted by Mouse Jones, Trap Karaoke will deliver classic tunes, current hits, and timeless tracks to dance the night away this weekend. The Buckhead Theatre will be the site of this month’s edition, so get there early so you can have the perfect spot to watch the always Instagram-worthy twerk contests on stage.

There'll be plenty of parties and tailgate events in support of the hometown squad’s season opener this Saturday as they face off against the San Jose Earthquakes. If you’re not able to make it to the stadium to check out the game in person, places all over the city like The Interlock, Hampton + Hudson, The Elder Tree, and more will have great food and drinks while you watch ATL United embark on this year’s journey to capture another championship.

Midtown
If you love oysters, then this is definitely the event for you. This weekend, Steamhouse Lounge in Midtown is having its 35th annual OysterFest. For the city’s seafood enthusiasts, you can purchase some delicious lobster bisque, low country boil, and any type of po’ boy you can imagine. The event also features a live music lineup, so you can rock out to some of today’s best tunes while devouring an oyster bucket on Peachtree Street. The festival is cashless, so be sure to bring your card—and your appetite—to prepare for a great time.

Midtown
Celebrating its 11th year, the highly-anticipated Beer, Bourbon & BBQ fest is back at Atlantic Station. With a selection of more than 60 beers, 40 bourbons, and lots of barbecue, this festival is sure to fill you up. Keep your souvenir glass handy when you’re traveling from table to table, indulging in a unique liquor list, while onsite food vendors will offer pulled pork, whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chickens, and sausages. You can also listen to live music on the main stage from a few of the best bands in the South. For the true BBQ lovers, the event offers seminars from master grillers, and there’s also a new gaming area and cool exhibits to check out.

Downtown
Wild Leap, a brewery that first started serving suds in LaGrange, Georgia, is debuting a new Atlanta taproom this weekend. At this ticketed event, guests will enjoy one-day only beers, cocktails, and slushies; live musical performances; as well as access to the outdoor patios with fire pits and private cabanas.

Cumberland
The Coca-Cola Roxy will host the award-winning R&B songstress Ari Lennox this weekend for the Atlanta stop on her age/sex/location tour featuring Jai’len Josey. Here, you’ll see the DC native perform tracks from her sophomore release like “POF,” “Pressure,” and many more. Late last year, Lennox said that this 27-city run might be her last, so this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss.

Gwinnett
An attraction billed as The World’s Biggest Bounce House is coming to town, so trust us when we say this will provide fun for all ages. The 16,000-square-foot inflatable landscape is filled with basketball hoops, a giant slide that goes right into a ball-pit, and so much more. Plus, with sessions for toddlers, young kids, bigger kids, and even adults, there’s a time for everyone to join in on the fun.
